Angus Tagari is the protagonist in Astral. He was one of the sole survivors of the Retornen clan during the Cleansing of the Dangerous Clans, along with his mom Jane Tagari and his elder brother Edgar Tagari. His father Ferore Tagari was thought to have transported them to a safe location before he himself perished in the battle.
Personality
Angus is a happy-go-lucky 18 year old teenager. Although he can be a little greedy and sharp-tongued at times, he is not usually seen with this trait. He is always sporting a smile that often leads people to believe he is innocent, and he usually is. He is pretty smart and observant.
Abilities
Retornen
Having being born in the Retornen clan, he has the power to utilize his bloodline's power, the Retornen. Every time Retornen is casted, a small part of the mana stream that is available in the earth's core is extracted to grant a wish for the user. For everyone in the clan, each individual are able to use this ability up till 5 times. Once used, it isn’t reversible, and once its 5 uses have been exhausted, the caster crystallizes and disintegrates into nothingness.
Diamond Creation + Upgrade
During his time in Magicadia, Angus discovered his ability to create diamond out of anything provided his skin is dry. He can manipulate the diamonds to be any shape or size he likes, but at the cost of his mana energy. Later on, he obtains 2 upgrades for his base diamond creation magic; "Explosion", followed by "Dispel" like every other person.
Glacial Flamel
Due to his connection to Calvin Tiberius Wolf, Angus is able to control both wind and ice elements with some proficiency.
Omni-Weaponry
Angus is able to learn to use most of the weapons available in the game except for guns, wands, and staves. He is most proficient at using a halberd, though.
