Background
Sakura was the only successful product after the long research and development of Project ESSENCE by Edgar Tagari and his fellow scientists. Edgar managed to create a living vessel to carry the ''essence of wood'', which is one of the required keys to unlock the door to Retournen.
The third principle of Magicadia, Jennifer Til Rossenberg III managed to learn about the project and snuck
the completed project out of the laboratory, destroying the central computer to prevent further creation
of unnatural human beings. Jennifer took the girl under her wing, and named her Sakura, but since she does not have any real parents, she did not gave her a last name.
It is also discovered that whenever there's a presence of Retournen nearby, her elbow will faintly radiate the word "E.S.S.E.N.C.E", reminding her of who she is.
Personality
Sakura is a girl who takes her looks very seriously. She also loves guys with good looks, making her fall into traps very easily. She is pretty much a shopaholic; that’s why she is poor at handling money. She can be snobbish at times, but when her friends are in danger, she’ll come to their rescue. She is also stubborn, but this grants her strong beliefs in herself.
Abilities
Essence of the Wood
As a living vessel which contains the Essence of the Wood, Sakura is able to utilize the power of plants. She can make up different kinds of plants with different type of effects such as “Astral Silencer” which temporarily disables the person’s usage of his/her Astral powers.
Leaf Creation + Upgrade
Sakura has an interesting ability to create a limited amount of leaves, but at the cost of her shirt. This limitation causes her to wear clothes which are loose to prevent shortage of upper garment. Her power too enables her to control the movements of the leaves. Later on, her upgrades were unlocked as “Sharpen” and “Combustion”.
White Magic
Apparently, she has learned much about white magic from the headmaster of Magicadia, plus her bonus from dealing with herbs and plants which comes from her essence, she’s a great healer.
